I have worked as a researcher in the field of computational linguistics. This field is also referred to as natural language processing (NLP). I worked primarily in the area of computational lexical semantics.

Here is a list of areas that I have worked on:

  • multiwords and compositionality
  • word senses and word sense disambiguation
  • lexical paraphrases and translations
  • lexical semantic relations
  • distributional similarity
  • predicate argument structure, including
    • selectional preferences
    • subcategorization frames
    • diathesis alternations

I have also collaborated with others working in the fields of:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Corpus Linguistics
  • Language Pertaining to the Environment
  • Lexicography

I am very interested in computational linguistics work related to speech and language pathology. I have previously worked as a speech and language therapist.
