The enclosed file 'compositionality_ratings.txt' is the GOLD STANDARD
data used for the experiments presented in:

Venkatapathy, S., and Joshi, A. K. (2005) Measuring the relative 
compositionality of verb-noun (V-N) collocations by integrating 
features. In Proceedings of the HLT-EMNLP 2005, Vancouver, Canada.

Description
-----------

The file 'compositionality_ratings.txt' contains a list of verb-noun
and verb-adjective pairs annotated with their compositionality values.
Two annotators were used for doing the markup. The first annotator is
a native english speaker (Mr. Roderick Saxey) and the second annotator
is a non-native speaker of english (Mr. Pranesh Agarwal). We are 
very thankful for both the annotators.

The guidelines provided to both the annotators are described in the
paper referred above.
